The first appointment is to give us a chance to get to know one another and make sure we are a good fit. It will consist of questions about your reason for therapy and history. We will also begin setting treatment goals. You will receive a link via email to create an account to access the portal where you can connect to the Telehealth platform.

Each session may be structured differently depending on your needs. First, we will check in to see how your week has been and go over any presenting concerns that need to be discussed. We will also check in on what progress you have made on your goals and if you were able to practice the skills learned in previous sessions.
-
Please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to make it to an appointment. There is a $75 charge for no shows or for cancellations less than 24 hours before the appointment.

This depends on your goals and the treatment needed to reach those goals. Some people may feel better right away while others require more time. It's not uncommon to take several sessions to start seeing results.
-
Absolutely, everything will remain confidential during sessions. I do take notes to keep track of sessions and they are kept in a HIPAA compliant medical record system. There are some circumstances where I may need to break confidentiality if you indicate that you or others are in immediate danger.

No Surprises Act
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit
www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
